Cardiac Care

We offer a special program to monitor and care for patients diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF). Our staff undergoes specific education to recognize the signs and symptoms of CHF. We focus on:

  • Identifying those residents  with a history and diagnosis of congestive heart failure
  • Monitoring fluid intake
  • Ensuring that all meals meet the standards for appropriate dietary restrictions
  • Enabling residents with CHF to continue rehabilitation
  • Monitoring weight gain to ensure early identification and treatment of CHF symptoms
  • Monitoring oxygen levels at rest and during rehabilitation
  • Ensuring that residents are evaluated by a cardiologist to evaluate signs/symptoms of heart failure
